I disapprove of graffiti and consider people who create them a nuisance.
I still remember the mid-night of several years ago, when I discovered the graffiti written over Yong’s car that was parked in front of the house. I woke Yong up, and the whole family went to check it out, only to find that almost all the cars parked in our stretch of Botany street, including that of Yvonne’s colleague’s, were sprayed with graffiti. We called the police and while waiting for them to arrive, we jotted down the registration numbers of all the cars involved, in case the police needed them. Yang knocked on one of our neighbour’s door to tell them about it, but I don’t remember they came out to have a look. We didn’t wake up other neighbours as we realised we might be the only ones concerned about it. The police arrived later, and we were hoping that they might go round the neighbourhood to check if the culprits were still committing the crime somewhere else. They asked a few questions and left, telling us that they would get back to us if they found anything. But I don’t think they did a thing, because we never heard from them again. I thought we might have taken some pictures, and I thought I had seen them not too long ago somewhere, but I could not find them now.
The King of Kowloon has just passed away recently. He has become a legend with his graffiti that he had created in a span of about 50 years. I wonder if Wei and JacQ have seen any of his work. The following are the links that I have found on the net about his stories.
It is an amazing story, but I still disapprove of graffiti.

Wow. Chinese grafitti looks different from… Anglo saxan grafitti.
I was going to say I’ve never seen grafitti here before, but after seeing the pictures, I think I’ve seen some of that kind of stuff around central last time we went to have dinner at the yellow door before.
I don’t really think grafitti is bad as a form of set; it’s just when property gets defaced in its creation that it’s a problem.

Btw, I never remember hearing abt the grafitti on the cars on your street before. Maybe it wasn’t a big issue at the time.
Could you claim insurance?

Did someone delete some of the links I posted? Why? I thought they are interesting links.

I think the links are all still there, just not one per line?

Liang, you are right. Somehow the links are all grouped in a single line. I have just fixed it.
When I clicked on “Gallery”, a window appears prompting me to upgrade to Gallery 2.2. Is that for my computer or is that for the Sim-fimily site? Should I upgrade?
Just a thought:
What would have happened to the King of Kowloon if he had lived in Singapore where even chewing gums are not tolerated? Would he be a legend or would he be a prisoner?
